MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The South Dakota Highway Patrol will be conducting sobriety checkpoints in 15 counties throughout the month of March. The goal is to crack down on impaired driving. Checkpoints will be carried out by the Highway Patrol and other law enforcement agencies in Codington, Lawrence, Minnehaha, Pennington, and several other counties. Drivers are reminded not to drink and drive whether there’s a checkpoint in the area or not.
Highway Patrol Conducting Sobriety Checkpoints Throughout March
The South Dakota Highway Patrol will be conducting sobriety checkpoints across 15 counties throughout March in an effort to combat impaired driving. These checkpoints, coordinated with other law enforcement agencies, will take place in counties including Codington, Lawrence, Minnehaha, Pennington, and more.
