MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Attorney General Marty Jackley says a former state employee has been sentenced on forgery-related charges. Renee Strong was sentenced to suspended two-year prison terms for each of four felony counts, along with $2,000 in fines and five years of probation. Strong was accused of forging food service inspection reports while doing contract work for the Department of Health. She was also ordered to complete 40 hours of community service. Jackley says Strong’s actions put public health at risk and damaged trust in public service. The case was investigated by the Division of Criminal Investigation. Former State Employee Sentenced for Forgery
South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announced that former state contractor Renee Strong has been sentenced for forging public health inspection reports. Strong received suspended prison sentences, probation, and community service for four felony forgery charges related to her work with the Department of Health.
