MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) South Dakota’s Division of Criminal Investigation has gotten a $100,000 grant to strengthen its efforts against internet crimes targeting children. According to a news release, Attorney General Marty Jackley said the funding from the Attorney General Alliance will help the state detect, interrupt, and prosecute online predators and human traffickers. The money will go toward new equipment and training for the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which investigated 900 cases of child sexual exploitation last year.
