MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — More than 50 Mitchell High School students are being recognized for their academic excellence and commitment to leadership and service.
A total of 51 juniors and seniors were inducted into the National Honor Society during a ceremony held this week at the Mitchell Performing Arts Center.
Students selected for the National Honor Society must meet high academic standards while also demonstrating strong character, leadership qualities, and a dedication to serving their community.
School officials say the recognition highlights the hard work and perseverance of some of Mitchell’s top-performing students, both in the classroom and beyond.
The National Honor Society is one of the nation’s most established academic organizations, celebrating students who go above and beyond in their academic and extracurricular efforts.
The induction ceremony brought together students, families, and school staff to celebrate the achievements of those selected, marking an important milestone in their high school careers.
