MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — It’s no secret that the last couple of years have been tough for the agricultural sector, but profitability doesn’t have to be a pipe dream.
This year’s Dakotafest event is adding a seminar, 2027 Profit Roadmap: Practical Tools for Navigating Tight Farm Economics, to help ranchers and farmers bolster the bottom line. The presentation is interactive, allowing for participation from those in attendance, and will happen from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18th, and Thursday, the 20th.
Scheduled to speak are accountants, economists, and industry specialists from the insurance and financial services industries, along with experts from North Dakota State University. A press release promises practical advice on four key areas:
– Assessing their operation using cash receipts and tax returns
– Managing production costs and input decisions
– Preparing for lender conversations and securing operating capital
– Strengthening grain marketing strategies to protect revenue
Dakotafest will be held in Mitchell from August 18-20.
