MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — A scheduled water shutoff will affect several blocks in Mitchell from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 2026, during a water valve replacement.
The work will take place at the north intersection of University and Mitchell Boulevard. The intersection will also be closed during the work.
According to the shutoff notice, affected areas include:
- The 600 and 700 blocks of Mitchell Boulevard.
- The 900 block of South Minnesota.
- The 900 and 1000 blocks of University.
- The 900 block of South Edmunds.
- The 900 block of Ct. Merrill.
- The 300 block of Milan.
- The 900 block of South Duff.
The shutoff will also affect the new addition at Abbott House.
