MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — Davison County 4-H members put their training and teamwork on display during the 4-H Dog Show, giving participants an opportunity to showcase the skills they have developed alongside their canine partners.
The young handlers spent countless hours training and practicing with their dogs ahead of the show. The event highlighted not only obedience and handling skills but also the partnerships the 4-H members have built with their animals.
Kate participated with her dog, Penny, while Marley showed Sunny, a golden retriever.
Sophia and Isabella took part in the show with Queen Cocoa. Zoey showed Chance, a border collie, while Willow worked alongside Bailey, also a border collie.
Piper participated with two Cavalier King Charles spaniels, Pixie and Tinker.
The dog show is one of the many opportunities available to Davison County 4-H members to develop responsibility, animal-handling skills and confidence while demonstrating what they have learned through their projects.
