MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — A local pet food manufacturer is the toast of the town after winning the best all-around float in Saturday’s Corn Palace Stampede Parade.
Performance Pet Products float is anchored by a striking bald eagle out of metal, the wings spread in flight, accented by red and white striped feathers. The eagle was manufactured by MDS in Parkston. It rumbled through the parade as float number 64, right behind Mitchell Media Group and KMIT. Performance Pet Products also took home first in the commercial category. This year’s theme was “America 250: Red, White, and Blue.” The full results are below.
