MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — The South-Central Alcohol Task Force conducted 19 alcohol compliance checks in the city of Mitchell on April 23, 2026, resulting in five establishments failing the checks.
Fourteen businesses successfully passed the compliance inspections, including Michelle’s Mad Batter, Coborn’s, Village Bowl/Lucky Lady Casino, Platinum Players II Casino, Los 3 Amigos, Highland Conference Center, Ruby Tuesday, Mitchell Liquor & Wine, Super 8 Motel, Twin Dragon, Corona Village, Hideout Casino, Odyssey Luxury 5 Cinemas and Valley View Villa.
Five establishments did not pass the compliance checks. Those businesses were Adamo’s Italian Restaurant, Tokyo, Puerto Vallarta, Walmart and 777 Casino.
According to the task force, all five violations mark the first failure for each of those businesses within a 24-month period.
Alcohol compliance checks are routinely conducted to ensure businesses are following state laws regarding the sale of alcohol, particularly in preventing sales to underage individuals.
