MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — Road crews will be back at it in Mitchell on Monday doing chip sealing work on six streets in the city.
The job will affect the 900 and 1000 blocks of West 4th Avenue, 400 and 500 blocks of West 5th Avenue, 300 block of South Isadore Street, the 400 through 1100 blocks of West 3rd Avenue, 100 block of South Rowley Street, and 100 block of West 10th Avenue.
Any homeowners living along those roads are asked to pull their cars off the street by 7 a.m. Sprinkler systems should be turned off and any hoses running from sump pumps to the gutter need to be tucked away far from the curb.
Current forecasts show a chance for showers and thunderstorms late Sunday. Nothing is expected during the day Monday, but if there is bad weather then the work will get pushed back one day.
