MLB

The Minnesota Twins closed out their series with the Los Angeles Dodgers last night. It ended up being a sweep by the Dodgers, halting the momentum the Twins had before the series began. The series ended with a close 4-3 loss by Minnesota who blew an early 3-1 lead. They’ll have the day off now as they travel over to Colorado for their new series against the Rockies that begins tomorrow night at 7:10pm on MLBTV.

WNBA

The Minnesota Lynx took on the Washington Mystics last night looking for a bit of revenge after losing to them not long ago. They ended up getting just that with a wire-to-wire game that led to a 78-76 victory for Minnesota. Natasha Howard had 21 points and a season-high 15 rebounds; Olivia Miles scored 10 of her 21 points in the fourth quarter, and the Lynx rallied from a 12-point deficit last night to beat Washington. They are now 14-4 overall.
