MLB

Only one game on the Thursday schedule to get the second half underway. The Mets downed the Phillies 4-1 in a game that aired on ESPN. The Twins return to action tonight at 7:05 p.m. on Chicago’s North Side. Bailey Ober vs. Colin Rea is the pitching matchup. Ober is 6-3 this year with a 4.40 ERA. Both the Twins and Cubs played well to end the first half. Minnesota is 7-3 in their last ten and Chicago 6-4. Friday night should have little wind, but that will change as the weekend progresses. The ball could be flying on Saturday.
