Farm Life Creamery in Ethan held its grand opening weekend event on Saturday and Sunday to show off the entertainment side of the dairy business. Farm Life Creamery has been open for business to buy their dairy products, but held the grand opening event to show off their new 18-hole mini golf course, as well as the farm petting zoo and playground for kids.
Laura Klock and Chad Blase run the creamery and said they decided to build a mini golf course on the property because market research showed there was an entertainment need in the area. Blase is a mini-golf enthusiast, so adding a course was a natural fit.
Chad’s son, Jonah, designed the course and J&C Construction out of Emery built the obstacles used. Klock said they will continue to further develop and build onto the course.
“Our goal for this week was for it to be golf-able,” Klock said.
Klock thanked all of her local sponsors for making the course possible.
“We couldn’t have done it without the families and friends in those businesses that got behind us. It’s a community effort,” she said.
The mini golf course will remain open throughout the summer, as long as weather permits.
