Mitchell girls’ tennis wins Huron Triangular; Mitchell softball drops pair to Rapid City

The Mitchell High girls’ tennis team won the Huron Triangular on Saturday. The Kernels defeated Aberdeen Central 7-2, Brandon Valley 7-2, and Huron 9-0. Mitchell is now 10-2 on the year. The girls will host Sioux Falls Roosevelt on Monday at 4 PM at Hitchcock Park.

The Mitchell Kernels softball team dropped a pair of games against Rapid City teams on Saturday. Rapid City Stevens downed Mitchell 16-1, and Rapid City Central defeated Mitchell 7-4. Mitchell, which is now 0-12 on the year, will host Sioux Falls Jefferson at the Cadwell Sports Complex on Tuesday.
