MITCHELL — Despite shooting just 40% from the field, Morningside was able to pull away from Dakota Wesleyan 73-65. Ely Doble scored 22 to pace Morningside and chipped in eight rebounds. Zach Imig and Aiden Vanderloo added 16 points each.
Koln Oppold scored a team-high 20 points for DWU (12-14, 9-10 GPAC), 17 of which came in the first half. Oppold finished with a double double with 14 rebounds. Mason Larson added 17 points and eight rebounds.
DWU will close out the regular season on Saturday against Concordia. Tip-0ff at the Corn Palace will be at 6 p.m.
