Search crews spent Wednesday on the scene of a farm along the James River just north of Huron, and the Sanborn County Sheriff confirmed it’s related to the disappearance of a Woonsocket woman ten years ago. Dakota News Now reports that crews were searching the James River yesterday. The farm being searched is adjacent to where investigators previously found a truck belonging to Rachel Cyriacks. Cyriacks was last known to be driving around the Huron area with her husband on November 13, 2013. According to the attorney general’s office, Cyriacks’ husband was the last person to see her alive. Her truck was found at a bee farm a month later. Multiple law enforcement agencies participated in the search.
Anyone with information about Rachel Cyriacks is asked to contact the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation at 605-773-3331. You can also contact local law enforcement with any tips.
