A Corsica man has been identified as the fatality in a Wednesday morning two-vehicle crash in Davison County.

Preliminary crash information indicates a 2014 Caterpillar highway maintainer driven by 63-year old Steven Groseth of Corsica was driving northbound on 397th Avenue two miles south of Mount Vernon just before 11 AM. A 2011 Chrysler 200 was traveling southbound on 397th Ave at the I-90 overpass.  The Caterpillar was drifting into the ditch but overcorrected crossing the center line into the path of the Chrysler 200. The vehicles collided in the southbound lane of the roadway. The driver of the Chrysler, 24-year old Calvin Boluyt was pronounced deceased at the scene. Groseth was not injured.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
