The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory that is in effect until Friday at 6 AM.

Meteorologist Jim Murray with the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls says snow will start to fall on Thursday morning.  He says 1-3 inches should fall throughout the day.  Colder air will come in, and increased winds will drop temperatures well below zero.

Murray says there could be visibility issues in open areas for those with travel plans due to winds blowing the fresh snow around.

Temperatures should climb to the 20’s and 30’s by the end of the weekend.
