MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) South Dakota’s newly updated “Move Over” law goes into effect on July 1st. It expands protections for authorized vehicles that are pulled over on the shoulder of the highway. Starting next Tuesday, drivers must move over for any vehicle that displays amber, yellow, or blue flashing lights, not just emergency vehicles.
