Mitchell Amateur Baseball

The Mitchell Aces continue looking to get over the hump and find win number two. Mitchell will play tonight at Cadwell Park when they host the Parkston Mudcats at 8pm.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins were finally able to end their five-game losing streak after shutting out the Seattle Mariners, 2-0. They allowed just three hits in the game. The two teams will battle again this afternoon at 12:10pm on MLB Network to round things out.

WNBA

The Minnesota Lynx don’t see action again until tomorrow night. They’ll travel to Atlanta to face the Dream at 6:30pm on ION. As for last night, a couple of games were on tap. The New York Liberty beat the Golden State Valkyries, 81-78, and the Las Vegas Aces took down the Connecticut Sun, 85-59.

NBA

The 2025 NBA Draft Day one is now complete and day two begins at 7pm on ESPN/ABC again at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. The Dallas Mavericks did indeed select Cooper Flagg with the No. 1 pick in the draft. Making him the fifth Duke player taken number one. Along with Art Heyman (1963), Elton Brand (1999), Kyrie Irving (2011), Zion Williamson (2019) and Paolo Banchero (2022). The Minnesota Timberwolves had one first round selection and it was the No. 17 overall pick in which they drafted Joan Beringer – a Center from France.
