Mitchell Amateur Baseball
The Mitchell Aces kept it a low scoring game against the Parkston Mudcats last night, but it wasn’t enough. The Mudcats were able to escape with a 4-1 win over the Aces. Next, Mitchell will face Mount Vernon on Sunday.
MLB
The Minnesota Twins took on the Seattle Mariners for the final time yesterday afternoon. The Twins were able to close the series with a 10-1 win and ended the series tied 2-2. Minnesota will now travel to Detroit to face the Tigers as they begin a new series. Detroit has already posted 50+ wins this season and are one of the best teams in the MLB. The Los Angeles Dodgers are the only other team with 50 or more wins so far this season. The Twins and Tigers will play at 6:10pm tomorrow night.
WNBA
The Minnesota Lynx will see game action tonight. They’ll travel to Atlanta to face the Dream at 6:30pm on ION. As for last night, the Los Angeles Sparks beat the Indiana Fever, 85-75 and the Washington Mystics got past the Las Vegas Aces, 94-83.
NBA
The 2025 NBA Draft is now complete. The Minnesota Timberwolves had one first round selection, and it was the No. 17 overall pick in which they drafted Joan Beringer – a Center from France. In round two, they had the opening pick at No. 31 and selected Rasheer Fleming from Saint Joseph’s but traded back and acquired the No. 45 pick in the draft from the Chicago Bulls, which ended up being Rocco Zikarsky – a Center from Australia.
