PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Feeding South Dakota is asking state lawmakers for three million dollars, to help fill the gap from lost federal food aid. CEO Lori Dykstra says the nonprofit is already cutting administrative costs, but needs help to meet rising demand. Several state-run assistance programs are also feeling the federal budget cuts.
