Mitchell Tennis
The Mitchell Kernels girls tennis team will participate in a Varsity Jamboree today. They will face Sioux Falls Christian at Tomar Park. Mitchell will compete early Friday morning as well. Times are currently TBD.
Mitchell Soccer
The Kernels soccer teams begin their season this weekend. Both the girls and boys teams will be in action and it’ll be a doubleheader both days. It starts tomorrow against Harrisburg with the girls playing first at 4pm and the boys at 6pm. Games will be played at Harrisburg Tiger Stadium. Saturday’s games will be back here in Mitchell against Tea Area.

The Minnesota Twins and New York Yankees faced off again for the final time in this series last night. The Twins were able to end this series with a win, 4-1. Joe Ryan allowed just a run and four hits in 6 2/3 innings of work in the victory. Next, the Twins will host the Detroit Tigers at 6:40pm.
