“To the Huron and surrounding Communities, It’s with a heavy heart that we are announcing that Fair city foods will be liquidating all our inventory. We will begin liquidating our inventory on September 24th and our final day will be October 15th. It’s been an incredible ride, with moments of joy, excitement, seemingly insurmountable odds, and invaluable lessons learned. To our customers and supporters it has been an honor to service you. Thank you.”

The location once called Super City is on the north side of Huron off Dakota Avenue and north of RC P and E railroad. It began first as Haley’s Foods in 1974 and later Holiday Foods and eventually Fair City Foods for many years.  On the south end of the Super City building was once Gibsons Discount Center which had the Pamida Chain under their ownership.  The Huron store would eventually switch to the Pamida store name.  Later Slumberland Furniture would occupy that space which is now a church facility.  According to a verification of the Super City building location the buyer wishes to remain confidential at this time.
