Mitchell Football

The Kernel football team get back to the field tonight and will be at home. They will face the Watertown Arrows at Joe Quintal Field at 7pm in Mitchell.

Mitchell Volleyball

The Kernel volleyball left Yankton with a win yesterday. They took down the Gazelle’s 3-1 and have now won three of their last five games.

Mitchell Soccer

The Kernel soccer teams both competed last night on the road. The girls fell to Yankton by a score of 2-1 and the boys were shut out by the Bucks, 5-0.

Mitchell Golf

The Kernel boys golf team will be competing this morning in Mitchell. They will host a Varsity Invitational at Lakeview Golf Course beginning at 10:30am.

Mitchell Cross Country

The Kernel cross country teams will be active and competing tomorrow morning. Each team will be facing the Tigers in Huron at Huron Broadland Creek Golf Course at 9am.

DWU Volleyball

The No. 24 Tiger volleyball team will be in action again at home. They will be taking on the Briar Cliff Chargers in the Christen Athletic Center in Mitchell at 5pm.

DWU Soccer

The Tiger soccer teams will both be competing tomorrow night and it will be senior night for the DWU women. The men’s team will play first against the Mount Marty Lancers at 5pm and the women will start at 7:30pm at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex.

DWU Football

The Tiger football team returns home tomorrow night in search of win number two. They will host the Northwestern Red Raiders at Joe Quintal Field at 1pm in Mitchell.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins will play tonight after a night off yesterday. They will host the Cleveland Guardians at 7:10pm.

WNBA

The No. 6 seed Indiana Fever pulled off the opening round upset in Game 3 last night to send the No. 3 seed Atlanta Dream home packing. It was a go-ahead field goal by Aliyah Boston with 7.4 seconds to go that propelled them to victory. Kelsey Mitchell led all scorers with 24 points for Indiana. The No. 2 seed Las Vegas Aces battled in Game 3 against the No. 7 seed Seattle Storm. It went down to the wire and some late game baskets made it that much closer, but the Aces got the last laugh and last points to punch their ticket to the Semifinals. They win it by a score of 74-73 behind a 38-point night from Aja Wilson.

NFL

Thursday Night Football was on tap last night between the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills on Prime Video. Another tough loss for the Dolphins as the Bills got the win, 31-21. Josh Allen threw for 213 yards and three touchdowns, while James Cook rushed for 108 yards and a TD. The Minnesota Vikings are set to play over the weekend when they host the Cincinnati Bengals at home at Noon on CBS this Sunday.
