Mitchell Golf

The Kernel boys golf team will compete on the road this morning. They will travel to Watertown and play at Watertown Municipal Cattail Golf Course. They will tee off at 10am.

Mitchell Tennis

The Kernel girls tennis team has action today. This morning they’ll be facing Watertown at Watertown Highland Park at 11am.

Mitchell Soccer

The Kernel soccer teams will both be playing tonight. They’re on the road at Brandon Valley playing at Brandon Valley high school. The girls JV and varsity boys will play at 5pm, while the boys JV and girls varsity play at 7pm.

Mitchell Volleyball

The Kernel volleyball teams are set to host games here in Mitchell today in the high school. It’ll be against Brookings. The freshman play first at 4:30pm and JV will start at that time as well. Sophomores will begin at 5:30pm and varsity will start at 6:30pm.

DWU Golf

The Tiger men’s and women’s golf team will have their final day competing at the Tatanka Golf Course in the Mount Marty Invitational today. After one day, both Tiger teams sit in the Top 5 as a team with the men in fifth and the women in second. The men have two in the Top 15 with Peyton Petcher in 15th at three over par and Ben Wilber in 13th with the same score. The women have four players in the Top 15. Dakotah Larson is in 14th at nine over par, Allison Meyerink is in eight with five over par, Ashton Austreim is in sixth with five over par and Sara Sudenga is in third with three over par. Tee times begin at 10am again today.

DWU Soccer

The Tiger soccer teams will both see the field tomorrow and will play in Mitchell at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex. They will be hosting the Dordt Defenders with the men playing first at 5pm and the women will start at 7:30pm.

DWU Volleyball

The No. 24 Tiger volleyball team is on the road tomorrow for competition. They’ll be in Sioux City, Iowa at the Rosen Verdoorn Sports Center taking on the Morningside Mustangs at 7:30pm.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins begin a new series with a team in pursuit of a wild card berth. Minnesota will travel to face the Texas Rangers tonight at 7:05pm.

WNBA

The WNBA Semifinals will pick back up today. The No. 1 seed Minnesota Lynx will host the No. 4 seed Phoenix Mercury at 6:30pm on ESPN and Lynx have a 1-0 series lead. The No. 2 seed Las Vegas Aces will host the No. 6 seed Indiana Fever at 8:30pm on ESPN and the Fever lead the series 1-0.

NFL

The Baltimore Ravens hosted the Detroit Lions last night for Monday Night Football. The Lions put on a clinic and got themselves past the Ravens, 38-30. Next, for the Minnesota Vikings will be in Dublin, Ireland bright and early on Sunday morning for those on central time. They will face the Pittsburgh Steelers at 8:30am on NFL Network/NFL+.
