Mitchell Volleyball

The Kernel volleyball team was in action against Brandon Valley last night. They were unable to take down the Lynx on their senior night and lost, 3-1. The Kernels have now dropped two of their last three games. Mitchell will play again tomorrow night when they host O’Gorman at 6:30pm in the MHS gym.

DWU Basketball

The Tiger basketball teams had doubleheader action in the Corn Palace last night against Bismarck State (ND). The No. 9 ranked women’s basketball team got the win with ease and cruised to an 81-43 win. Leading the scoring were Shalayne Nagel & Avery Broughton with 17 points each. The men followed suit and had a good win as well, taking down the Mystics, 82-62. They were led by Easton Neuendorf & Anthony Riggans who both had 18 points.

DWU Golf

The Tiger men’s golf team has finished up day two action in the Firestorm Invitational at the Verrado Founders Golf Course. Struggles continue for DWU as they now sit in last place (16th) as a team after day two. With just one player still in the Top 50 as Peyton Betcher has now dropped to tied for 47th at eight over par. The next closest Tiger is Ben Wilber tied 70th at 20 over par. They will have their final day of action today beginning at 10am in Buckeye, AZ.

DWU Soccer

The Tiger women’s soccer team competed last night in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Quarterfinals against Hastings. It was a tight one through the first period, but a strong second period with a pair of goals netted gave the win to Hastings, 2-0.

DWU Volleyball

The (RV) Tiger volleyball team was in action as well and took on the Briar Cliff Chargers on the road. They took care of business in straight sets against the Chargers and won, 3-0. In other Tiger news, ahead of the match, Kayleigh Hybertson was named Setter-of-the-Week in the GPAC and Elizabeth Tyler was named Defender-of-the-Week for DWU.

DWU Football

Connor Drake has been named the GPAC Offensive Player-of-the-Week and Cody Winslow has been named the GPAC Defensive Player-of-the-Week for the Tiger football team. The honors come off the heels of a weekend victory in which the Tigers won in OT, 44-41 over Mount Marty.

NFL

Week 10 gets started tomorrow night with Thursday Night Football. It’ll be a game between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Denver Broncos. The game will be played in Denver and kick off at 7:15pm on Prime Video.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves (4-3) get back to the court tonight for a National TV game as they will visit Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Knicks (4-3). The game is set to tip off at 6:30pm on ESPN.
