MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announced that an Iroquois man has been indicted on one felony count of aggravated assault in connection with a Nov. 22 shooting in Iroquois.

Ace Bordeaux, 40, was indicted Friday by a Kingsbury County Grand Jury. The charge carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.

Authorities said a 47-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds during the incident, which occurred at a home in Iroquois. The victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Huron.

The case is being investigated by South Dakota’s Division of Criminal Investigation and the Kingsbury County Sheriff’s Office. The Attorney General’s Office and the Kingsbury County State’s Attorney’s Office will prosecute.

Bordeaux is currently out on bond. His next court appearance has not been scheduled. He is presumed innocent under the U.S. Constitution.
