Tonight’s Girls SoDak16 Basketball Games
Class A:
- No. 15 seed McCook Central/Montrose vs No. 2 seed Mapiya Luta at 6pm
- No. 14 seed Dell Rapids vs No. 3 seed Wagner at 7pm
Class B:
- No. 15 seed De Smet vs No. 2 seed Parkston at 5:30pm (on KOOL 98.3 w/Drew Ivery)
- No. 13 seed Deubrook Area vs No. 4 seed Ethan at 7pm
- No. 9 seed Corsica-Stickney vs No. 8 seed Waubay/Summit at 5:30pm
Mitchell Basketball
The Kernel basketball teams start their SoDak16 games tomorrow with the girls game. The (RV) Kernel girls will be at home in the Mitchell high school to host Spearfish at 6pm tomorrow. If they win, they’ll travel to Rapid City, SD next weekend to play in the Class AA State Tournament from March 12-14. The boys will hit the road on Saturday. They’ll travel to Watertown to face the Arrows at 6pm. If they win, they’ll travel to Rapid City, SD to play in the Class AA State Tournament from March 19-21.
DWU Golf
The Tiger women’s golf team wrapped up play in Henderson, NV at Reflection Bay Golf Club in the Rocky Mountain College Intercollegiate. DWU ended in eighth place with a team score of 280 over par. Individually, two athletes finished in the Top 20. Sara Sudenga ended in 17th place at 34 over par for the two-day event and Allison Meyerink climbed to finish T-14th place at 32 over par.

DWU Wrestling
The (RV) Tiger men’s wrestling team competes in the NAIA National Championships today. They’re over in Wichita, KS with a few athletes, and they will get started at 11am this morning at the Heartland Credit Union Arena.
DWU Baseball
The Tiger baseball team is all the way over in Tucson, AZ for the rest of the weekend for a multi-game weekend. It all starts this afternoon at 4:30pm when they face Division II Southwest Minnesota State at the Kino Sports Complex – Field 5. Also, the Tigers very own Landon Ruesink has been named the Co-Captain for the 2026 Lou Gehrig Community Impact Team. Honorees were nominated by their schools, and the team was selected based on outstanding achievements in three key areas:
- Demonstrating a substantial commitment to their community through service and philanthropy.
- Embodying the generous spirit and character of Lou Gehrig.
- Making remarkable contributions to the success of their respective teams.

SDSU Basketball
The Jackrabbit teams are playing in the Summit League Championship Tournament today at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, SD. The women are the No. 2 seed and will face the No. 7 seed Kansas City at Noon. The men are the No. 7 seed and will face the No. 2 seed St. Thomas at 8:30pm. Games will air on both the Summit League Network/Midco Sports.
NBA
The Minnesota Timberwolves will be back in action tonight. They’re at home in Minneapolis, MN at the Target Center set to host the Toronto Raptors tonight. Tipoff is at 7pm on NBA League Pass.
