DWU Baseball
The Tiger baseball team will see action tomorrow on the road for some Great Plains Athletic Conference games. They will be in Crete, NE at the Doane Ballfield Complex for a doubleheader taking on Doane (NE). The first pitch will be at 12:30pm.
DWU Softball
The Tiger softball team will be on the road tomorrow. They are going to Omaha, NE to take on the College of Saint Mary (NE) in GPAC action. It is a doubleheader and the first pitch will be at 3pm in Heritage Park.
DWU Track & Field
The Tiger track & field teams will each be competing tomorrow. They’ll be in the Wildcat Classic. Start time is listed as TBA currently on the DWU website.
DWU Basketball
The Tiger basketball teams athletes recently received a multitude of honors. The College Sports Communicators released the 2025-2026 Academic All-District honorees for men’s and women’s basketball. For the men, both Steele Morgan and Tyson Stevenson were the honoree and for the women, it was Avery Broughton, Emma Yost, Shalayne Nagel and Jaida Young. In order to earn such distinctions from the CSC, student-athletes were required to have at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale, must be at least sophomores academically and athletically, and must have competed in 90% of the team’s games, or started in at least 66% of contests this season. Additionally, Broughton and Rylee Rosenquist received All-Tournament team distinctions. Broughton was second team and Rosenquist got first team.
MLB
The season begins tonight for the Minnesota Twins. They get their season started this afternoon. They’ll be in Baltimore taking on the Orioles with first pitch at 2:05pm on MLB TV.
NBA
The Minnesota Timberwolves took on the Houston Rockets last night. They hosted them at home and were able to come away with a victory in overtime, 110-108. Jaden McDaniels led the scoring effort with 25 points and Julius Randle added 24. Minnesota improved to 45-28 overall with the win.
