MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) – Warm and breezy weather is expected across Mitchell this weekend, with temperatures climbing well above average Friday and Saturday before thunderstorms return Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, dry conditions and gusty winds Friday could create an elevated wildfire risk across parts of South Dakota. By Sunday, a stronger storm system may bring thunderstorms capable of producing hail and damaging winds across the region.
