The Mitchell Kernels head to No. 4 Yankton for the first round of the 11 Double A playoffs on Thursday. The Kernels are the No. 5 seed after back to back wins to close out the regular season over Watertown and Huron. Yankton racked up 45 points in a shutout over Mitchell the last time they played on October 1.
The Kernels lost six straight games after a week one win over Spearfish before winning their last two games.
