Harrisburg running back Gavin Ross rushed for 224 yards on 24 carries on Saturday at the Dakota Dome, as the Tigers led from wire-to-wire in the final state championship game of the 2021 season to take a 27-0 win over Brandon Valley. It was Harrisburg’s first-ever 11AAA state title.
Quarterback Jacob Knuth scored first for Harrisburg on the first play of the second quarter on a 5-yard run. Knuth finished with 53 yards and two scores. Knuth completed 14-of-19 passing for 80 yards and one touchdown on an 18-yard connection to Andrew Walter.
The Harrisburg defense held Brandon Valley to just 182 yards of total offense.
