FREEMAN, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) A crash south of Freeman on Highway 81 has left one person dead and another injured. It happened just after 11 Tuesday morning when a Dodge truck rolled off the road about nine miles south of Freeman. The driver, a woman from Yankton, died at the scene. A male passenger suffered minor injuries. According to reports, neither of them were wearing a seatbelt. Authorities have not yet released the names of the victims. The South Dakota Highway Patrol is still investigating the cause of the crash.
