PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs is now accepting nominations for the Fallen Heroes Bridge Dedication program, which honors those who lost their lives in service to the country. The initiative names bridges in their memory, providing a lasting tribute to their sacrifices. Nominations, along with supporting documents, are due by April 1st. Nominators can choose a preferred bridge location for their hero. Since 2019, 53 bridges have been dedicated to 59 heroes. You’ll find the nomination link and more information here:
