MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Local law enforcement and experts are reminding residents about the dangers of meth in South Dakota. Sam Clemens with Sioux Falls Police said meth is as big of a problem as it’s ever been. Officials want South Dakotans to be aware how deadly the drug can be even with more recent attention on fentanyl. Darcy Jensen, the founder of Prairie View Prevention Services, says meth is very addictive and there is no solution to overdoses unlike Narcan with fentanyl. Last year, Sioux Falls PD and the Drug Task Force seized nearly a hundred pounds of meth compared to 11 pounds of fentanyl.
