MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The ace of hearts was found Saturday night in the final drawing of the Mitchell Firefighters Union’s Chase the Ace fundraiser. The jackpot reached over $10,000, with $5,060 going to the lucky winner. The fundraiser, which started in June 2024, has helped the fire union raise enough money for a 37 thousand dollar utility vehicle, now parked at the Mitchell firehouse. Fire Union President Justin Adams thanked the community for their generosity, which will help the department reach more challenging areas.
