MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) South Dakota’s two major airports are trying to figure out what’s next for their expansion projects. Senate Bill 127 would have set aside money to help fund big projects in the works at the Sioux Falls and Rapid City Regional airports. But the measure failed on the House floor earlier this week after a two-thirds majority vote was not reached. Officials from Sioux Falls Regional Airport said the potential state funding was a key component of their 120-million-dollar plan to design a new concourse.
