PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) While the DOGE government spending cuts continue, South Dakotans are feeling the impact.  And those affected are not staying quiet. Senator Mike Rounds says calls to his office more than tripled in February alone with people voicing their concerns and questions. The number of calls for March is expected to be similar. According to Rounds, his staff is currently working on nearly 140 different cases involving South Dakotans impacted by DOGE cuts. Rounds insists benefits like Social Security are not going to be cut, but he is encouraging South Dakotans with any concerns to continue reaching out to his office.
