MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Attorney General Jackley wants South Dakotans to be vigilant about the dangers of fentanyl use. He sounded the alarm on Tuesday, which was National Fentanyl Awareness Day. Jackley said, “South Dakota law enforcement seized 18-point-two pounds of Fentanyl in 2024, enough to overdose every South Dakotan four or five times over.” Fentanyl is now the leading cause of death among Americans, ages 18-to-45.
