PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Central Electric Cooperative’s Operation Round-Up program has awarded $12,800 in grants to 13 community projects across the region. Grants this round include $1,200 for the Carthage Museum, $1,000 for White Lake Ambulance, $1,100 for the Wessington Springs summer recreation program, and $800 for improvements at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Mitchell. Operation Round-Up is funded by cooperative members who voluntarily round up their electric bills, contributing about $6 a year.
