MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) South Dakota’s Secretary of State has announced that voter list maintenance has begun. This routine process, done every odd-numbered year, helps keep voter rolls accurate by removing names of those who have moved, passed away, or are no longer eligible to vote. Voters who haven’t participated in recent elections may be listed as inactive but can still vote and update their information at the polls. Secretary of State Monae Johnson urges residents to check and update their voter registration now to ensure a smooth voting experience. Visit the Voter Information Portal at sdsos.gov for details.
