PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) South Dakota’s Secretary of State has released a new, more user-friendly voter registration form. According to a press release, the update reflects feedback from the public, county auditors, and community partners. Secretary Monae Johnson says the revised form improves layout and clarity and includes new information on eligibility and instructions to help voters register accurately. It also aligns with changes to state law that took effect on July 1st, including updated residency and certification requirements. The new form is now available on the Secretary of State’s website.
