PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Governor Larry Rhoden has declared tomorrow, Thursday, August 7th, as “Purple Heart Recognition Day” in South Dakota. He’s encouraging all residents to honor the sacrifices of military members who’ve received the Purple Heart, the nation’s oldest military award.
