RAPID CITY, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) A 43-year-old Rapid City man was killed Tuesday morning in a crash involving a pickup and a semi on Interstate 90, two miles west of Rapid City. According to KELOLand, the South Dakota Department of Public Safety says the pickup crossed the median around 7:30 a.m. and hit the eastbound semi head-on. The semi driver, a 43-year-old man from Box Elder, suffered life-threatening injuries. Both men were wearing seat belts. Eastbound lanes of I-90 were shut down for nearly three hours and reopened just after 10 a.m. The victim’s name has not yet been released pending family notification.
