DWU Softball
The No. 4 seed Tiger softball team also began GPAC Conference Postseason Tournament action yesterday against No. 5 seed Northwestern. It was a neck-and-neck battle between the Tigers and Red Raiders, and it came down to the wire. Knotted up at six apiece going into the sixth inning, it was DWU who managed a run in the bottom of the six and just needed three outs to clinch the win and advance. They got those three outs without allowing another run and managed a 7-6 win and advanced on in the winner’s bracket of the GPAC Postseason Tournament to face No. 8 Hastings. The Tigers couldn’t manage to get past the Broncos and fell by a score of 7-6. This afternoon they will face No. 1 Midland at Noon. If they win, they will have a rematch with No. 8 Hastings at 2pm.
