Mitchell
The Kernel baseball team will have Saturday off, but not Sunday. They are scheduled to host the Douglas Patriots at Drake Field in Mitchell. It is a doubleheader with first pitch at 11am.
The Kernel track & field teams will continue with their weekend track meet. It is the second day of a two-day event. They will be in Sioux Falls competing in the Dakota Relays at Sioux Falls Howard Wood Field. The competition will begin at 9am on Saturday. See their Facebook for updates on results over the weekend.
MLB
The Minnesota Twins will finish out their series against the Toronto Blue Jays over the weekend with games three and four. Saturday they will play at 1:10pm on MLBTV and then on Sunday at 11:35am on Peacock.
NBA
The stage is set for Game 7’s this weekend (some only if necessary) to complete the first round of the playoffs. Here is the possible schedule:
- No. 7 seed Philadelphia 76ers @ No. 2 seed Boston Celtics at 6:30pm on NBC/Peacock (series tied 3-3)
- No. 5 seed Toronto Raptors @ No. 4 seed Cleveland Cavaliers (if necessary)
- No. 5 seed Houston Rockets @ No. 4 seed Los Angeles Lakers (if necessary)
- No. 8 seed Orlando Magic @ No. 1 seed Detroit Pistons (if necessary)
