Local Mitchell Swimming Star Verbally Commits to UNLV

Mitchell swimming star commits to Division I University to continue swim career.

One of the top swimmers in South Dakota will now be continuing his swim career at the collegiate level at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Colin Pickett will be joining a soon-to-be men’s swim team at UNLV that will debut in 2026-27 as the Mountain West Conference has now added men’s swimming. UNLV joins the Mountain West alongside Air Force, Wyoming, Grand Canyon and Hawaii.
