Mitchell Golf

The Kernel girls golf team has wrapped up play in Watertown, SD after competing at Watertown Municipal Cattail Golf Course the last two days. Mitchell ended up finishing in third place at State as a team with a 634 total (+58). Trailing O’Gorman who finished in second with a 626 (+50) and Aberdeen Central who finished first with a 603 (+27). Individually, the Kernels had five of their six athletes finish in the Top 20. Anna Eliason finished 17^th with a 164 (+20), Brynlee Sabers & Mia Larson tied for 13^th with a 163 (+19), Londyn Hajek finished tied for 10^th with a 158 (+14) and Maddie Childs was ninth with a 156 (+12). The Twins improved to 29-33 after the win.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins took on the Chicago White Sox again last night in Chicago. Minnesota managed another win over Chicago after a bottom-of-the-order barrage of hits from Luke Keashall and Tristan Gray in their 6-4 win. The Twins improved to 29-33 after the win. The victory clinched the series win, but the series officially finishes this afternoon on ESPN Unlimited/MLBTV at 12:40pm.

WNBA

The Minnesota Lynx are scheduled to play again tomorrow night at home as they look for a sixth straight win. It will be a WNBA Commissioner’s Cup game against the Golden State Valkyries. Tipoff will be at 8pm on Prime Video.

NBA

The NBA Finals begin tonight as the No. 3 seed New York Knicks visit the No. 2 seed San Antonio Spurs. Game 1 is in San Antonio with tipoff at 7:30pm on ABC.
