MITCHELL, S.D.  (MITCHELLNOW) A Mitchell woman has been sentenced to 15 years for stealing over $250K from her employer. The defendant, 49-year-old Anna Gardner has been ordered to pay over $305K in restitution, including investigation costs, after embezzling funds from Iverson Chrysler Center. According to Davison County State’s Attorney the theft was uncovered after discrepancies in the company’s financial records prompted an investigation. According to a published report, Gardner, who served as the office manager, used the company’s computer system to misappropriate funds over several months.
